Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting near Madison Square Park

42-year-old male shot and killed in Baltimore, Maryland on July 25, 2024. Thursday evening at around 9:07 p.m., police officers responded to the 1900 block of Greenmount Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting. Upon arrival, police officers located an unresponsive 42-year-old male suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics arrived and pronounced the victim dead on the scene.

Northwest District Handgun Arrest. officers responded to the 3700 block of Spaulding Avenue to investigate a call for an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, officers were advised that a 20-year-old male had threatened and pointed a handgun at a female complainant. The suspect was arrested on the scene, and a handgun with ammunition was recovered during this incident. The suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged accordingly.
